An obsessively intriguing collection of painted eye miniatures from the 18th and 19th centuries that were secretly exchanged between lovers and families and usually set amidst gemstones, pearls and locks of hair.  The eye miniature was a phenomenon that began in Great Britain in 1785 when the Prince of Whales secretly proposed by giving a miniature of his own eye to his lover.  The eye portraits are gorgeous and the objects themselves unique and beautiful as the people who held them.
